Oops.

I've said it before, and I don't expect your forgiveness, but I'm sorry.  I said I would be better, and I wasn't.

But while I have your attention...

I have a new best buddy!  That stinky lump of mush I introduced you to last year has grown up to be a big, big man!

Theo & I are best of buds...and we went on a lot of adventures in his first year.  We went to the best in North Carolina, Delaware, Deep Creek Lake, Massanutten, and Muddy Run.

And we collaborated on our FIRST joint project:  Caviar Dreams...a lacto-fermented whole-grain mustard.  You can find it in our store!

I won't make any promises about more posts, but know that I hope to connect soon.

Love you.  So. Much.

I'm sorry.  I told you I would do better.  And I didn't.  But I'm here now!

The last 12 months have been a blur!

Dad built a house.  Mom grew a baby.  We moved from Lititz to Paradise.  And I got a new baby brother...Mr. Theo Penn Fisher.

I learned a lot too...how to ride a bike, how to fish, how to mow the lawn...

Also...I think I somehow morphed from a toddler into a kid.  I'm not sure when it happened, maybe after turning two?  Or maybe it was when I became a big sister?

It was a fun year with lots of change (just like every other year I've been alive!!).  I'm actually hoping things settle down for a bit.  No more big life changes would would be nice for a change.

We should catch up though...so shoot me a msg and we'll have a picnic or grab tea.  Or we could meet up at the park across the street.  However it happens, let not let is slide until next December!

Love you.  So much.

Yikes!  Time is FLYING...still!

Let's just say I've been busy...

In the last six month, I've learned to stand, walk, talk, & keep pig tails in.

My dad had an 8-week sabbatical over the summer, so we spent a lot of time together.  We took a beach trip with mom, a day at the Philly Zoo with my Fisher cousins, and a week at Deep Creek Lake with my Mueller cousins.  Otherwise, it was a lot of time hanging out in Lititz--playing outside, popping bubbles, and going on walks.

This is the last year we'll be in Lititz!  Mom & dad have been busy preparing a place for me in Paradise.  By the end of spring 2023, our new address will be 39 London Vale Road.

There's too much to catch you up on, so maybe I'll make it a New Year's Resolution to be more diligent in writing.  We'll see.

If not, we should just be friends in real life so we can share memories together!

Yikes!  Time is FLYING!

But I need to land the plane for a minute to tell you how #blessed I am.

You've heard me talk about my mom already.  I won't bore you with the details of why she's so great...like how she works really hard...and she always puts 1000% effort in anything she does...or how pretty she is...or how good of a cook she is....

Ugh...look at me!  I'm boring you!

Today is Mother's Day...and I want you all to know that all my smiles & laughs & waves are because I've learned it from my mom.  She's my favorite mom...

But I also have some other great moms in my life...like my Gigi & Grammy...even two *literally* great-grandparents...Grandma Mueller & Nan Fisher.

PLUS...I have So.Many.Aunts!  Aunt Cate the Great, Aunt She-She, Aunt Tootie, & Aunt Bitsy.  It's a lot of fun to hang out with them.

But being a mom looks like a lot of work...so I don't think I'm ready for that yet.  Some day...hopefully...but I'll need some time to get ready!

Thanks Mom...and moms...I love you!

Happy Birthday to my favorite lady!  I can't say enough good things about this girl...

I need to be honest:  I can be a lot to handle sometimes.

And no one loves me better than her!

I went through a phase where I needed to eat every 2-3 hours...All. Day. Long.  Seriously, it felt like I was always hungry!

And she took care of me.  Even when it was 2:30am, and it took me 90 minutes to eat, and she'd have to turn around a do it again an hour later.  She's a compassionate friend.

I'm also a bit of a picky eater.  Or, I should say, my belly needs to learn how to process cow's milk proteins.  And don't get me started about what happens if I eat ice cream!

This girl cares so much for me that she joined me in cutting out all dairy and soy.  She's a dedicated friend.

And she's funny.  Like, so funny.  She's got this silly high voice that cracks me up!  She makes me happy every time I see her.

If you don't know her, you probably should.  She's the kind of girl everyone needs in their life.

I love her to pieces and want to be like her when I grow up.

It pays to be nice to strangers.

I took a trip to the grocery store this evening.  Mommy & Daddy love Wegmans, so on special occasions, they will blend date night into grocery shopping.  I don't mind being their third wheel.

While we ate dinner in the food court, a lady (with a clear Italian accent) and her adult daughter noticed me bouncing on Daddy's lap.  Dad starting talking with them and found out they used to lived in San Francisco.  So I told them we were just there in October!  How fun?!

Sometimes, dad is super awkward talking to strangers.  But this time, it was the lady who made things awkward.  She (a total stranger) asked my parents (who she only met five minutes ago) if she could hold me.  She said, "It would make my Christmas."

I was looking at dad, so I don't know how mommy reacted.  And I wasn't sure how I felt about it myself, but dad passed me into her arms before I could say anything about it.

Immediately the lady's eyes lit up with joy.  I'm not sure if she has any grandkids, but its definitely been awhile since she would have held her daughter.  She held me tight and kissed the back of my head; and I could feel her remembering how she would hold her own babies as she rocked me back and forth.

The whole exchange may have only lasted ten minutes, but I'm glad we met.  It was special, even though I don't even know their names.  And it wouldn't have happened without taking the awkward risk of being nice to strangers.

As we were walking the away the lady returned to dad to tell me how sweet of a daughter he had,  and she slipped him a twenty-dollar bill saying, "Buy her something nice for Christmas."   Merry Christmas!

I joined two of my favorites on a trip to Northern California.  They're a seriously generous couple and took me to see the rolling vineyards of wine country, majestic mountains of Yosemite, and craggy beaches of the Pacific Coast Highway.  My favorite sight was the sea otters at Monterey Bay Aquarium.  If you have the opportunity to go...go!

The world is a beautiful place; maybe not as beautiful as it was created to be, but it is filled with all kinds of delights--common goods.  I was conceived in liberty and am dedicated to the proposition that all men are created .   And I want to share all the good things I've found with anyone who wants to try them.  Journey with me as I taste & see all the good there is to enjoy!
